Journal Entry: “The Gift That Keeps Giving”
Dear Diary,
It’s me, Decker… getting “wrapped up” for the year.
Dad says I’m “the gift that keeps on giving,” but honestly it took some serious treats to get me through this wrapping paper. Life is abundant, I know, but this wrapping paper seems to be everywhere… Humans.
Christmas is my favorite time of year because it’s all about giving — my Dad always says giving is how we grow in the likeness of the One who made us. God gives us wisdom for purpose, strength, and love… so I try to give what I can too: Love, joy, loyalty, and maybe the occasional high – five of encouragement.
This year, DEKTEX has given a lot.
We hit and surpassed all our goals we set less than a year ago.
Big dreams became real.
The team grew stronger.
And every person stepped into a version of themselves that shines a little brighter.
Dad always talks about growth as a gift — but not the kind you wrap. It’s the kind you share.
Because when we empower people who focus on numbers, we crush them.
When we empower people to deliver relentless customer service, our customers feel loved.
When we empower people to manage projects, every job becomes focussed, clearer, calmer.
And when we empower people to own every single board they lay, those boards are laid with care, pride, and love.
That’s the real magic of Christmas:
Giving people the tools, the trust, and the belief to grow into who God designed them to be.
And this year…
We’ve grown as a team.
We’ve grown as a business.
We’ve grown as a community that serves our community.
We love what we do, you will too.
